Meet Our Team

John W. McCracken

John W. McCracken has nearly forty years of hospitality industry experience. Mr. McCracken has held corporate management positions with Stouffer Hotels and WestCoast Hotels, where his responsibilities ranged from Human Resource Development to Hotel Operations and Property Development. In his career he has overseen the construction and renovation of over forty hotels throughout the United States and Europe. The types of properties for which he has had operating responsibility include world-class resorts and full-service hotels, as well as limited-service properties. He spent six years on the faculty of Washington State University’s School of Hotel Business Management.

Mr. McCracken’s areas of consulting specialization include the following:


Mr. McCracken received his B.A. degree from the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Administration at Michigan State University. He also earned an M.B.A. from Michigan State University with a specialization in Marketing. While teaching, he received an M.A. in Economics with a specialization in Tourism Development.

Mr. McCracken is a Certified Hotel Administrator and has served on the Board of Directors of the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Educational Institute.
