Douglas Bartells
Beginning in 1972 as a desk clerk at a 60-room motel in Arizona, Douglas Bartells brings 35 years experience in virtually all areas of hotel operations. His experience includes sales and marketing with Marriott Hotels & Resorts and resident management of an 850-room convention center hotel with Red Lion Hotels & Resorts. Mr. Bartells has held positions as General Manager with Royal Inns of America, Vance Hotels, Red Lion, Best Western, and Holiday Inn. Mr. Bartells is currently General Manager of the Holiday Inn, in Everett, Washington.

Mr. Bartells successfully supervised 150- and 300- room renovations for Red Lion Hotels, and a $2 million renovation for the Best Western Executive Inn. He also supervised the complete renovation for the Best Western Fife Hotel and Conference Center and worked as Project Manager for a $12 million renovation of the Holiday Inn in Everett, Washington.
Mr. Bartells currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau. He is also a board member of the Washington State Hotel & Motel Association Health Insurance Trust, a member of the City of Everett Lodging Tax Advisory Board and a board member of the Snohomish County Lodging Association.
