Ramada Seattle Downtown Celebrates Total Renovation
Seattle – March 15, 2007 – The Seattle Ramada is pleased to announce the completion of a multi-million dollar renovation. The six-month renovation project included totally renovated guestrooms, lobby, restaurant, and all public space. A fitness center was added to the hotel as well as an in-house laundry. The entire exterior of the hotel was painted and the new Ramada signage was added.
Barbara Brunetti, the Seattle Ramada’s General Manager said “My staff and I desire to provide the very best accommodations and service for travelers and small groups. Over the years, our hotel guests have come to expect a higher level of comfort at an affordable price. This project has achieved our overall renovation goals and has instilled a renewed sense of pride among hotel employees, while providing our guests with a wonderful lodging experience.”
The renovation comes on the heels of a blockbuster year for downtown Seattle hotels. According to Smith Travel Research, the lodging industry's leading information and data provider, statistics relating to Downtown Seattle's hotel occupancy, room rates and room revenue all ranked among the top four in the nation in terms of growth. “Renovations are critical to the viability of older hotels in a competitive marketplace flush with new hotel rooms”, said John McCracken of The Chambers Group, Inc., a hospitality consulting and management company.
